WATCH YOUR STEP is 5 guys from Florence D.C. Formed in October 2005 because of the lack of bands in their hometown bringing to the surface good old school jams. The quintet starts off with the intention of playing hardcore just the way they like it: danceable, heavy and passionate.
Drawing influences from hardcore legends like SSD, Gorilla Biscuits, Underdog and Negative Approach, (but also from newer acts like American Nightmare, Floorpunch and Justice) practise after practise, these guys try to come up with a style of their own and finally in March 2006, they manage to record their 6 songs Demo for Full Speed Ahead Records.
In august of 2007 finally has been released their first full length "Taking you down with me", an album full of fast HC/punk riffs and singalongs, spreading the rage kept within.
Honest old school stuff with "thrashy" riffs for fans of Outbreak, Internal Affairs and Mental, "Taking you down with me" almost sold out the first press, while receving very good reviews and playing a lot of shows over Europe.
Not to forget, the guys already managed to headline a very successfull Brazilian Tour supporting the release of their CD!
After another long trip, this time to Australia, the guys decided to call it quit.

This is an absolutely positive surprise that puts Watch Your Step at the top of the Italian Hardcore-scene catapult and established them such as To Kill or Strength Approach did. Vote: 8/10

Per quanto mi riguarda credo che questo disco potrà fare da colonna sonora a qualche giornata poco generosa di soddisfazioni. Magari non offriranno consolazione, ma 13 sberle per riportarti in vita sono assicurate.

Taking you down with me è senza ombra di dubbio un ottimo biglietto da visita per il quintetto fiorentino, rodato dal punto di vista live e ormai pronto a condividere il palco coi nomi noti di una scena in continuo fermento. Voto:8/10
